Depends on the Hack. If you mean the one that didn’t work on Jack, Grin was trying to stop his heart.

Also, I’m aware Max wasn’t in possession of all the facts, but this is a man who jumped out of a fast moving plane to have a punch up with someone to show he respects him.
I think Jack’s well within his rights to feel more than a little annoyed at the chiding. Hilarious, though.

I love how if you look at the expressions on the hacker’s masks, they (most of the time) reflects what’s going on.

The first panel, when taken out of context, looks like Max just holding up his fist and Grin getting auto-punched by awesome.

There are times I’m scrolling back through the comics I’ve missed, only to find one I’d vote for but can’t see 🙁

Hmm I was gonna use gallery to make a page for them but it kept not working. I might just throw them up on DA or something.

If I could make a suggestion, panels 1 and 3 are pretty poor and conveying the action that they are supposed to represent. Facepuncher looks extremely stiff in the first panel, and the end result makes it look like Grin is getting walloped by an invisible fist. Facepuncher should be punching through, instead of pulling back. Third panel isn’t that great because there’s basically no reaction from the hackers. Their boss, one of their most powerful hackers just got decked, and the hackers literally have no reaction other than “oh, well. whatever.” Make them more expressive so that they really look surprised, or lost, due to their commander being destroyed. Arms in the air or make them look like they’re ready to run or whatever. The expressiveness in the panel just doesn’t work as it is.
Otherwise this is a pretty cool comic and I hope to see more updates.

Max has already finished with his follow through in the last panel of page 178, he’s actually reeling in his fist in panel one.
Panel one and two are following grin’s actions. She isn’t falling down straight away, she’s more toppling over.
Panel three is actually all reaction from the hackers, they’ve turned to see what happened to grin and are standing there stunned, which is why jack can get them from behind. Sometimes it’s a little difficult to convey emotion with a faceless character, and while I could have pushed their body language I felt it wouldn’t make sense. Yeah, their commanding officer just got decked but that hasn’t quite sunk in for them yet, and Jack took initiative.
That being said, the fact I had to explain the page means I’ve failed on some level, so I’ll have to careful in future.
And THAT being said, glad you’re enjoying the comic, there will be an update on Friday! 😀

yeah so, I thought it was really well done. and Jamie I totally got that right away…..but one thing I don’t get…..when did Max become his mother? lol he says “I had it under control, Mum!”

Manick: Max is basically acting kinda like a parent in the way he’s protecting jack and also telling him off for acting rashly. Jack’s comment means he recognises that and doesn’t appreciate it. XD
