At this point I don’t even care whether Gavin dies or not, because I know that whatever Jamie comes up with will be freaking amazing.

Its not just that nobody throws knives, its that normally if someone does throw a knife they only throw ONE and she gave him crazy training from hell where he had to simultaneously dodge many knifes.
She is going to be so vindicated when she learns of this.
It’s obvious that Gavin knows he couldn’t legitimately beat Jack in a fight due to his being hack-proof, so he’s just stalling until whatever happens to be putting jacks body under stress in the space station finishes him off.

This is when Jack learns what Angel just learned. Gavin doesn’t have a real body. It’s just some kinda ‘suit’ he hacked up.
This is also when Gavin realizes he didn’t find Jack’s weakness… he found his strength.
