Go for it, general. Take his offer. Then, turn a ‘blind eye’ to the goings-on of your underlings when they decide to smack Hackers around ‘behind your back’.
The MI seems to hunt a lot of things including ghosts, but we got no indication that any of them actually did anything…evil at first(that I recall). Maybe jack-assy

Well, they could be fighting them because they are abusing reality.
I mean, if you can hack reality, then the world would become unbalanced.
If you hack a mountain of money into existence you could obliterate a nation’s economy in seconds. Also, if the hackers were largely competent, they could easily control the world. Gavin’s only problem is that most of his followers are either unimaginative and can’t think of anything beyond “I can beat who i want and buy what i want, muhahaha!” or they have stupid brutal intentions, like Manic, OR they just aren’t that good yet. If most of the hackers were as skilled and smart as Gavin, they would already own the universe. (save the few/1 hack-proof people like Jack who would have to pull a Star Wars Rebel thing)
Also, after whatever decision the General makes, next time we see Gavin…

@This Guy, funny thing you’re saying about imaginaton. Gavin has created an AI that can get really close to simulate one. What would happen if we suddenly got ourselves an army of hacking bots equipped with imagination simulators!?
