The fist on max’s shirt in panel 4 kinda looks like a seashell. That has no relevance, but I just thought I’d mention it 🙂

Ok! just finished the comic up to this point! What a strange comic, full of psudo-cliffhangers and awesome characters! I look forward to reading this for a long while 😛
I have to ask, though. Isn’t the “Eyebrows” bit a referance to FLCL? There’s a character there, too, with astronomically sized brows, and people react in just that fashion when they see him

Man I’m going to have to do an FAQ just for Max’s eyebrows!
The original inspiration for the thicker eyebrows came from Scott Pilgrim, but as I developed Max his eyebrows got more and more out of control. There was definitely some inspiration taken from FLCL, though that dudes eyebrows were totally fake.

that little thing on the path is REALLY the alien jack had on, (and then scraped off) his shoe earlier.
se it glows in the dark and went away when the crowd arrived because it felt so ALIENATED
