So I mentioned in twitter before that I was thinking about changing the way I did the characters eyes. And after playing around with it I think I will. It’s really not going to be that different but I’m kinda excited about it and wanted to share.

So anyway, here’s the kinda thing I’m talking about:

I don’t know what I was thinking when playing around with the shading for this. I probably wasn’t.

Anyways, its basically taking the un-joined black lines and.. you know, joining them. I tend to draw the iris a bit bigger because of this but I think it looks pretty good. I’ll post some more sketches later.

Also the change won’t be immediate. Since I’m planning on getting stuff printed I figure I’ll keep the eyes consistent and wont change them mid story. I am working on a side story at the moment though which will be a good chance to work it in though and give it a test run. More on that later.

 Guys It’s been ages since I posted anything so I’m going to talk to you about video games I suppose! Okay, here we go!

SO! I totally started playing Metal Gear Solid 4 on Saturday and had it won by Sunday. Truth be told I really enjoyed it, I just wish there was more game to play. I guess I will track down a copy of Metal Gear Solid 3, now.

I also FINALLY played Eternal Sonata to completion last night. The game is really beautiful, visually, and the combat is pretty fun, but crapdamn if the story isn’t just balls. The ending was ridiculous, with all the characters gathering around a black background and encouraging me, telling me to go live my life and I still have time. YEAH GREAT THANKS GUYS GIVE ME MY TWENTY HOURS BACK!

Also on the RPG front I can not for the life of me get into Infinite Undiscovery.

I went back the other day and played some Final Fantasy VII with a friend who brought it off PSN. You know what I don’t like about modern RPGs?

Voice overs.

They limit me in more ways than one. For instance, I bet if square ever remade FFVII everyone would be voiced and because of that I would not be able to rename Red XIII to “Batman.”

Being able to rename all the party members was one of my greatest joys in JRPGS, But now days the closest I get is renaming the silent protagonist in the Persona series who hardly ever gets mentioned by name.At least you can turn the voices off in Persona. Everyone sounds cooler in my head.

I also imported myself a copy of Blazblue. Pretty fighting game. I love it. 

Umm, yes.

I don’t know you noticed, but Monday’s comic was jaggy as hell, so I re-compressed it and re-uploaded it. It looks much better now.

Also Max Facepuncher now kind of has a Twitter account. 

Originally I was thinking about having a legitimate twitter thingy on the side of my website like all the cool kids, but I’ll be damned if I can’t think of anything to write that isn’t an action packed lie.

I was clearing out the spam comments and hit a button and killed a bunch of legit comments! Arrgh. I’m trying to get them back. If anyone knows anything about wordpress and can help me out with this, please do. >_<

Update:  Okay! I found a crazy tedious way to do it and am restoring each comment one at a time. At least they are not lost.

So, yeah, there’s the poll at the top of the page pretty much says it, but I’m looking at printing up some Jack Cannon books. It would be the first 4 charters, full colour, probably really special and yadda yadda.

I’m just wondering though… would anyone buy it? This is a pretty important question, so please take the time to vote, thanks.

Also in the process of possibly moving to print, I’ve had the chapters so far proof read and have fixed all the spelling errors and touched up some dialog so it reads better. (nothing major, mind you.) Now I just have to be extra vigilant and watch out for typos in the future.

So the other day my xbox started doing this. When I reset it it would maybe work for like five minutes before doing something else like it. To top it off the warranty was up. So I had to fork out 400 (AUD) and get myself a new one.

And then Michael Jackson died! What a lame week.
