Are they all siblings? That’s rather twisted.
They may not be literal siblings, while the leader insists on a family-like architecture. Or maybe they are, dunno yet.
The assassin’s mistake was letting slip that “mother” wanted them both alive, meaning the guy with a knife to Jack’s throat is an empty threat.

No! Bad! When an aggressor hold a knife (or a gun) on a person aggressor is the hostage as they are ALWAYS the one who gets hit next.
