As many wise individuals have said, “Well, that was unexpected.”

classy stabbed in the back

Aw sweet, Jaime brought back those assassins jacks mom used to be a part of! That’s cool, I was afraid we wouldn’t see ’em again for a while.

Woo, colours. Nice work.

Assassin organizations usually don’t just let things slide. Often the only way to make them leave you alone is to take the offense and show them that coming after you will only destroy their own organization.

I love that Jack’s dad reacts to getting stabbed with mild annoyance, pulling down a bookcase that should make it hurt WORSE, and “Right, other door!”

Come on, Tom! Find a desk and beat these guys to death with it!

I wonder if this is why Mrs. Cannon made so certain her son can catch thrown knives.

At first I was like “dang on top of this fire there’s NINJAS trying to kill him as well!?”
But then I realized that they probably had a correlation with the fire.

@Zach Anime Law #16 (Laws of Inverse Accuracy) third corollary: Whenever a “Good Guy” is actually hit by enemy fire, it is in a designated “Good Guy Area”, usually a flesh wound in the shoulder or arm, which restricts the “Good Guy” from doing anything more strenuous than driving, firing weaponry, using melee weapons, operating heavy machinery, or doing complex martial arts maneuvers.
Deciding to go out the back is harder to justify, unless there’s a secret escape tunnel that we haven’t seen yet.

@MauveCloud
Out of the back is the best idea. It’s incredibly likely to be watched, meaning there is a greater number of enemies to strangle there

What? No new pages?
February 8th, 2014 at 6:33 am
I don’t know how to say “looking forward to new pages” without sounding like a jerk and impatient, but I do enjoy the comic and can’t wait for it to return. When you are able of course.

I think it’s a willpower thing. The Hero is always more willful than the hordes of minions but almost anyone who gets a name, usually the second in command, that is thrown at the Hero is equally willful and believes in what he is fighting for will be able to take the same punishment as the Hero.

@Houndson: Maybe sometimes, but you don’t get much more willful than a man protecting his kids. About the only thing more scary is a man avenging one of his kids, which I imagine we’ll be seeing before too much longer.

New theory he’s built up a resistance to knives. He is not immune yet but they figure maybe another ten years and he will be completely immune to all stab wounds.

Yup, Tom is still awesome.
