I don’t know if this has been addressed yet, but should we assume based upon panel five that where we, as the audience, “see” the hacks in effect, the characters in the comic only see their physical aftermath?

So, I’ve been thinking, if Gavin really is Jack’s brother then it might mean that he has the same anti hack ability. If this is true then that would explain his appearance as some kind of filter.
