    Oh… Wow… That’s a tad darker than I figured we’d see Craig pull off.

  2. Ventnor

Yes, it is totally Jack’s fault that Craig is a psychopath who nukes cities because his ego is bruised…

  3. gangler

God I love Craig. He’s what Gavin was talking about during the “Kid’s with Nukes” speech. His complete immaturity, stupidity, shortsightedness, and petty jerkassitude is exactly what makes him so scary. I was really hoping we’d see that come to light with him and my hopes have been more than met.

  4. Merks

    oh no he used meteor!

  5. Anon

No way our hero can even get to one of those meteors. And the only counterhacker we know ain’t going anywhere.

Which probably leaves…Gavin, who’s gonna end this very, very, VERY quickly.

And it should be pretty awesome. Except for Craig. If he’s lucky, he’ll only lose a handful of teeth. Or not get hacked into a slug or something.

  6. Isaac

ok so new rule, dont tick off the psycopath with the magical reality warping keyboard ONLESS u have a contingency plan

  7. Grey

Anon’s got it right. As far as I can tell, Jack hasn’t broken the truce so far as breaking the pink bubble prison Cin was trapped in and entering the Phallus tower Craig hacked up, and both times have been for helping friends.

In this case I’m actually pretty sure that Craig is the one breaking the truce, considering the hackers were also supposed to leave Jack and co. alone.

So now it’s time for Gavin to ‘bwoop’, or floor fade, or whatever it is he does, in and smack Craig upside the head before disowning his ass. An ass that will subsequently get monumentally whupped by Jack’s foot.

  8. Anonymoose

Well, at least Craig is aware that he’s the badguy~

  9. marca311

I credit Jamie for the number of times he avoids drawing the keys of keyboards.
I mean, when was the last time he drew a full keyboard with keys?

I never had a doubt that Craig would drop the meteors, I just think that he will start breaking down when either: a) meteors start hitting his tower. b) Gavin turns him into a block of brain cheese. (This question is worth 2 marks)

  10. gangler

I seriously think Gavin is totally cool with this. I don’t envision the hackers as being such a structured organization that it doesn’t allow everyone to do as they will when they’re not on the clock. In fact I have a suspicion that he doesn’t even give orders so much as he gathers volunteers.

  11. Flaming Squirrel

I love how Craig just destroyed the city with a washboard. 😉

  12. Jamie

@marca311 those keys are so not fun. Besides, you all know what it is! Leave me beeeee!

  13. Jamie

Also @ Flaming Squirrel, You crack me up XD

  14. ShadowScipio

What I want to know is why Jack didn’t just immediately bust out of the bubble and beat the crap out of Craig in the first place. What possible good could have come from antagonizing the clearly unstable individual even more?

  15. gangler

Yeah, when you’ve got contextual immortality certain incredibly bad ideas start sounding good. Like taunting an unstable reality warper with a vendetta against you, or giving him advice on how he might better combat you, or letting him keep his instrument of power throughout the discussion.

I can hardly blame him. Heck, go through the comments leading up to this. Gavin hasn’t really been viewed as a threat prior to revealing he can cast meteo without using his hitpoints. Sometimes when they’re so childish you forget that they still have that nuke. Even moreso when you’re immune to nuclear energy.

When I pulled up this page on my internet, One Winged Angel started playing in my iTunes. I shit you not.
But I’m totally calling Gavin to appear within the next couple seconds. Unless he’s preoccupied monologuing to Max.

  17. Arch Angel

@grayfoxpianist: If Gavin were monologuing to Max, Jamie would’ve made a comic of it. Something like that is too good to pass up.

  18. thel

i wonder if it will be jack or gavin that turn craig into red mush.

  19. Harnel

Hold up, I think I see a sequence of events happening here.

Gavin doesn’t want to have a city destroyed by a hacker on an ago trip, so he comes in and backhands Craig and saves the city… or lets it get destroyed. either way, I think he’ll be here.

This means that Max doesn’t get a chance to facepunch him, but it does give me him a clear road to Crystal, who gets her scarf back, and the pair of them bust out before Gavin gets back.

  20. GooTyler

Actually Craig, I think it’s on all those innocent civilians’ heads…or should I not prod the unstable one even more?

  21. Ether101 Prime

I’m still sure Crystal’s going to betray Max.

  22. Shirt

Nuking the city? I was expecting something like that towards the end of the comic. Though, someone did lose a leg and a lot of blood before…

  23. jmkool

Man, I just realized this comic has gotten a lot more serious than it started out. In the beginning, wasn’t Jack just protecting a girl from some nerd bullies? Now he’s… oh yeah, protecting the same girl from the same nerd bully. And saving the world!

  24. MasterVega

Unless Gavin has already considered the truce broken by Jack trespassing in the Freudian Tower, he’ll have to intervene to stop Craig as nuking the city endangers Cannon’s family – who are kinda the only reason the truce even exists.
That is, of course, if we trust Gavin to keep his word. He hasn’t given us reason to doubt that thus far, IIRC.
