I too think that the person in the picture is a young Gavin. However, I would like to put forward the hypothesis that they were never actually friends, or even knew each other at all, and Gavin has hacked himself into her memory.

My theory is that guy in the picture is either Craig (Younger and before evil), or Gavin (Ditto bracket text here)

Can’t rule out any possibility though. Facepuncher is the best in alerting the enemies to his location.

As much as I love the Miles=Gavin idea lets look at another possibility.
What if the boy in the picture is the guy at MI that appears to be a Hacker? Maybe Grin’s under the impression that he’s being held captive and that’s the whole reason she’s with Gavin in the first place.
