Well then, maybe letting the hackers do their thing wasn’t such a bad decision after all. I’ve never had my body shut down but it doesn’t sound fun or productive.
Well, Jack’s body might not shut down, since the hackers would eventually be able to hack into him. Unless “shutting down” ment just unable to prevent any more hacks.
Even still, if Jack’s body shuts down, depending on his state of consciousness, his body would still be alive, thus hackable. So all this means is, eventually, he will become as easy of a target like anyone else.
This makes Jack’s fighting in the future much more interesting. Will be be avoiding every fight possible, or still dive in fists swinging?

All this is well and good, but I have a late question since nobody’s brought it up yet. If Frankie was willing to kill Jack after his transformation, why did he ask Jack for help when he started transforming? Never could figure that out.
Well, this doesn’t surprise me very much, but still a good explanation. What comes next? Do they dissect Jack to figure out what makes him tick? Probably not. Maybe he goes on a long quest to strengthen his hack resistitude. At least he seems to have calmed down. For now. Being told that you’re at risk of being put into a permanent coma can never be good news.

“What, so next time they try to hack me, I should just let them kill me then?”
“I don’t think they’ll be attacking you anytime anytime soon.”
*blank look*
“You made a deal with them Jack.”
“Oh, right, I guess I forgot for a moment there.”
