Wow, this is one of the better webcomics I’ve read in awhile. Keep up the good work, and I’ll be waiting for your updates!

This has been an interesting read so far. People who can “hack” the real world isn’t a concept I’m familiar with, so it’s fairly fresh to me. This comic kind of has the feel of a Saturday Morning Cartoon (except with more blood and swearing) which is kind of cool. A bunch of kids, some with super skills, a mysterious and (probably) evil organization, crazy stuff happening and bright colors.

I’ll be interested to see what role Angel and Cindy take in this. So far it does not seem that they have any capacity to be more than damsels in distress or comic relief. After (and if) things calm down at school, will their friendship with Jack develop beyond “we fear/hate the same person?” That is, do they really have anything in common as people? I liked Angel’s reaction to Jack at the beginning, it seemed natural. At first her turnaround in attitude seemed strange but once I figured out that “hackers” are actually dangerous in this world, her concern made more sense. What will compel these people, then, not to go their separate ways (in so far as they can, attending the same school)?

Also: Max Facepuncher? Not the most ridiculous name I’ve seen, yet, it works. The new character, Crystal, has an interesting “uniform.” Personal taste? It sounds like secrets will be revealed and whatnot.

On a side note: I found it interesting that I could suspend my disbelief regarding hackers who can make golems out of the ground, but not that Jack could punch his way out of a grave. It seemed like the girls’ comments at the time were a nod to that, but it was probably just coincidence. Now, I wouldn’t change the scene, I just think it’s funny what I’ll accept and what seems like a “that can’t happen!” moment.

Anyway, I hope this long comment has not been tedious. I simply have a tendency to try and deliver more than a superficial critique. This is a fun comic and I enjoy it and I find the concept rather novel. Personally, I think how you end up shaping the “believability” of the characters’ relationships and friendship could make or break this (I’m not a fan of the “we’re friends because we just happened to meet!” explanation) but I’m not worried. Keep up the good work.

Wow Captain, thanks for taking the time out to write that! It’s always welcome and I appreciate the input.. The thing that interested me the most was the comment on suspension of disbelief. Figuring out what is and isn’t too ridiculous is a tricky balancing act and looking back on the scene you mentioned I think I was stretching things a bit thin.
I’ll try to improve on that in the future. 🙂

hmm it may be my D&D backround talking but it seems that the mother and jack are more monk/ninja and the father is a berserker/barbarian *BLOODRAGE!!*

Undeniably consider that that you seattd. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the simplest thing to bear in mind of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed whilst other people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top well defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thanks!
