Is the General a separate entity form Artimus or does he know? I was always under the impression that he wasn’t her biological grandfather but if he is then that adds a whole other level to this.

I’m betting he remembers everything. A few notes though:
That looks like a pretty young guy, meaning given the age and the passage of time, he is genuinely her grandfather.
He did kill her, from a certain point of view. Just like Vader killed Luke’s father. He killed the person he had been, and took on a new life from that day forward. A completely different (and likely very changed) person.
I’d wager a guess that in the coming confrontation, some comment is dished out about him running and hiding like a scared little girl. From then to now, he has changed a lot, but I feel like that part hasn’t changed enough. It’ll be interesting to see the fallout from that.

I’ve been thinking about it, there’s a chance that either the next page or one down the line reveals that Artimus created the General as a construct and turned herself into a baby or split herself in two creating both of them.
