They’re probably capable of having eyes in a lot of places, but why would anyone be watching Craig? He’s not that interesting:p

Well technically he CAN talk to Craig… That’s not… interfering with the hacker’s plans. Actually I even doubt Gavin’s fine with what Craig’s doing at the moment.

Why don’t they just use the net to contact Gavin? And why does this fell like a heel face turn set up?

He’s pretty crappy maybe? Or pretty much crap? Also a lol at Cindy’s face in the last panel.

“I hope.” Classic.

Wait, was he told not to fight the hackers, or to not interfere with their plans? Because I highly doubt beating up Craig would interfere with their plans. Heck, it might even be HELPING some of their plans!

That’s just it, though — Jack doesn’t know that Craig is acting on his own.

That’s dramatic irony for you.

He was actually told never to interfere with Gavin’s people. Interpret that as you will, but I think Craig still qualifies as one of Gavin’s men, even if he’s not currently Gavin’s favorite.
It’s ambiguous though. It might not count if he’s not on “Official hacker business”. I think Craig’s suspended right now, so that could disqualify him from the protection the truce offers.
Either way though, Jack has no real reason to believe it wouldn’t break the truce. Certainly nothing strong enough that he’d want to bet his parents lives on it.

Jack’s best defense here is that Craig broke the truce first. Gavin promised to leave Jack and his parents alone, in a vague enough way that the promise might reasonably be extended to family as well.

Wait a minute, if the deal was that the hackers wouldn’t hurt his parents so long as he didn’t interfere, wouldn’t that give his parents a free pass to kick ass (heh, I rhymed) without fear of retaliation so long as Jack didn’t fight?
