I go through a mental checklist of things I have done wrong wheneve I hear my name called. Then I pretend like I didn’t hear. Then I hide. Cuz I’m so mature.

Ok, Lockwood and Jack’s parents have to be retired M.I. agents. That would explain why Jack’s dad would make such a fuss about how young Crystal looks. He probably feels old.
I got the feeling that Jack’s dad was holding back in the fight with the hackers. I’m wondering if Jack’s parents went to opposite extremes after whatever happened to Miles. Maybe Miles was a new M.I. recruit, and they fought together as a family, till some tragedy struck him down.
